Quite honestly, I have the bad habit of cheering for the ‘wrong side’; antagonists in stories always fascinate me more than their counterparts.
When I read the Harry Potter books, I thought the idea of the Dark Mark was fascinating, however, never much cared for the book illustration. The movie interpretation of it, however, I absolutely loved. I had wanted to get this done since 2005, but kept putting it off figuring I’d “grow out of it” (I was 25 at the time), but six years later I still wanted to have it done, and finally went ahead with it. There was no ‘getting used to it’ phase, as in my mind, it had already been there for years.Reaction to it has been quite positive overall, and has sparked quite a few fun conversations with total strangers. It even once got me free chocolate.
